Tropic Thunder

Tropic Thunder is a film about a film starring a very unusual cast, so it has to be a Ben Stiller creation.
Stiller plays Tugg Speedman, a pampered actor set to star in the most expensive war movie ever made alongside Kirk Lazarus (Robert Downey Jr) a highly successful, award winning actor who just might steal Tugg’s limelight.
Their co-stars come in the form of Jeff Portnoy (Jack Black) comedy star of ‘The Fatties’ (which is not dissimilar to ‘The Klumps’ with Eddie Murphy), hip-hop artist come entrepreneur come actor, Alpa Chino (Brandon T Jackson) and newbie actor Kevin Sandusky (Jay Baruchel).
The group are thrown into a real-life scenario as they begin to shoot their film, unawares that what they’re experiencing is real warfare. They have to learn to get along and to get over their star status if they are going to survive.
Tropic Thunder is an interesting and often funny watch with plenty of homage to Hollywood.
